Helena Winker-Wälde
Lawyer, specialist lawyer for banking and capital market law and specialist lawyer in rental and property law
Ms Helena Winker-Wälde was admitted to the Berlin Bar Association in 2012 and already began specialising in banking and capital market law during her postgraduate legal traineeship. Ms Winker-Wälde advises clients Germany-wide in her specialist area of banking and capital market law and initially worked for several years for a Berlin law firm specialising in this area of law. The focus of her legal work is to represent capital investors in the so-called grey capital market in claims for damages due to incorrect advice, the rescission of residential property as capital investments as well as asserting claims for damages in the case of illegally conducted deposit transactions. She was awarded the title of “Fachanwältin” (legal specialist) for banking and capital market law in 2019.
Ms Winker-Wälde has represented her clients before various courts throughout Germany, providing her with a wide range of procedural experience. Thanks to the means provided by digital communication, she has also advised her clients from a distance, while managing to maintain an excellent client relationship.
In 2017, Ms Winker-Wälde returned to her old home in Villingen-Schwenningen, where she worked in a local law firm, focusing also on tenancy and residential property law. There she also worked for several years for the Haus & Grund VS e.V. association as an employee and legal advisor. Ms Winker-Wälde therefore not only gained a wealth of experience by handling the issues of tenancy and residential property law for the local association members, but also gained an interesting political insight into the association’s activities.
When providing legal advice, it is important to her to explain the often very complex legal contexts in a way that is understandable to her clients and to conscientiously represent their legal interests. In her opinion, an economically sensible approach should always be taken when pursuing a legal dispute. If, nevertheless, it does become necessary to take part in a legal dispute, Ms Winker-Wälde represents her clients before the competent courts in a committed, well-prepared and tactically forward-looking manner.
Ms Winker-Wälde is a member of the German Lawyers‘ Association and, in face of the new GDPR, undertook further training to obtain the necessary specialist knowledge as a company data protection officer. She also advises her clients in French.
